Nomadic, Bracsar wander almost everywhere. Even on occasion wandering close to The City of The Silent. Their range is pretty much everywhere except for the Singing Deathsands.
The Bracsar is a beast of burden, a frontier animal. Bred and used in agriculture as well as rock/ore farming. Equipped with heavy turquoise plates of chitinous armor as a defense against predators. Their large size makes fleeing difficult, and so each is equipped with heavy duty mandibles. And a devastating bite force of 6500psi they are capable of fending for themselves against creatures smaller and larger than them. They are herd animals, staying in groups that range from 10-20. This makes Bracsar common farm animals, kept for both defense and personal gain. Equipped with four small antenna that sprout from atop the nostrils and right behind an electrical sensory organ. The antennae each sports is how to communicate with each other as they graze. They have been noted to pick up on radio channels and sit transfixed, listening to whatever broadcast or music that is playing. Some have been known to need radio collars due to finding favorite songs and radio channels. Individuals who approach Bracsar or who work with them daily; report that each individual has a much higher chance of carrying their own tune. See The Sound.
Bracsar are unusually extremely friendly, feral or not. Often wandering around travelers or protecting them from other animals. This temperament has made them one of the best farm mounts in Casaderea. While friendly, Bracsar are easy to provoke. Should one continue to ignore social cues or attempt to harm one. Even slight offenses like pulling on their fur or major offenses like pulling on their antennae can cause one to knock the offender to the ground. They do seem hesitant to maim or kill.
Feral Bracsar spend most their time traveling all throughout
Casadera. Say for their refusal to travel upon the
Singing Deathsands. Like this herds will travel,
often followed by lower end contractors. As wherever a heard goes,
they dig up rocks and ores in their search for water laden roots under
the dirt in sand. Bracsar young resemble smaller chitinous grub like
things. The young for their first few years will cling to the underside of
an adults tail. The long fur making easy handholds. They will be carried
around, cared for, and fed for the first five years of their life. From there,
they act rather playful. Which marks the most dangerous time in their lives.
They are commonly carried off by aerial predators or snatched from beneath by
passing wyrms. A litter of ten often dwindles to three remaining offspring.
Farm Bracsar spend their time in pastures, listening to whatever is on the
air at that time. Their young are often saddled with little spiked vests.
Aiming to injure anything that may wish to carry off the young. Generally-
tamed Bracsar are content to stay in one place and do mundane tasks.
