The insect is of medium size, it bears no legs and relies solely upon its four crimson wings. The antennae is thick and horn like. Mandibles splay out to the side of its jaws. The red tail is soft and velvety. These insects are mostly solitary but can be observed in small groups. Thi’scweffeen often swarm around palefruit bushes. Their red tails exposed just like the fruit. Drawing in smaller grazing insects from which their mandibles perforate and shred their preys hide. Their long face able to drink the juices from the deceased.
Thi’scweffeen do not attempt to interact with anything larger than them. The bug is aware should its wings become damaged, the chances of survival plummet. Instead, thi’scweffeen will flee if approached. As when perched in palefruit bushes, they look like food.
The insect will lay its eggs under the taller branches of the Rielseg tree. It takes 30-35 days for these clutches to hatch. The grubs will then be forced to glide down from the branches to the pale grass below. Where the grubs will hide among the bigger fronds, waiting for their gliding wings to be shed and their main wings to grow in.
