Ousmane inhabit the upper malian atmosphere
Large, red, and light the commune floats high up in the Malian atmosphere. Long blue tendrils filter feeding off the potent air. Their flesh, red, also draws nutrients from the suns. The body of the commune is a massive chain of heads, the main head at the front and the inferior at the back. Inferior heads break off frequently by accident, purpose, or hunts and may grow into a large commune. Should the main head detach it is about a fifty fifty on if it survives as an individual of which to grow a tail, or falls to the ground below to be eaten by the animals. The body in the scenario the main head detaches will have already had its feeding tendrils deployed, as they double as a very flexible spine. The outer tendrils will thicken and the inner most will atrophy. Forming the proper feeding structure soon after a detachment.
The Ousmane Commune does not really react to anything around it. It is but mindless, floating and flying high. They can be solitary or found in groups, it really depends on which way the wind blows. They make for easy targets for something like the Koïta
Ousmane are many, for as they are torn asunder by predator– so are they given a chance to live anew. Breaking into pieces and tails, dispersing as they float high above. Some fall to the ground below but that is the way of life. Most stay aloft, unaware of the world's turmoils. Enduring loss and hardship without much issue.
