Glory to the Wyrm, Glory to Sertha! The Flagship of the world, the titular hero of the day. Common and
widespread, loved and rarely hated, adored and never forgotten. They are closely related to Walkerwyrms
and Seawyrms, but no doubt the most titled of the three. The most important of them all. Wyrms are as well
surprisingly closely related to Sable’sa and distantly related to Dragomii. Surprisingly smart and incredibly
versatile, many Wyrms inhabit Casaderea. But will find ways to make it work in other regions. Mostly through
turning to Walkerwyrm or Seawyrm.
The head of a wyrm splits four ways. The ends of the jaws and sometimes the entire jaws will be covered in
beak. Rarely does the Wyrm not develop beak at all. They have four eyes, either located at the corner of the
jaw or in the center base of the jaw. Slit pupils look out at the world. At the base of the skull is located
the Head Cage. Either articulated limbs to cover and cage in the head, or small hard tissue to cover the eyes
themselves, articulated on a ball joint. This is to dover their eyes when digging or to cover their face
when digging.
in Casaderea, Wyrms will sing when digging, this singing reduces the sand to a near liquid consistency. Allowing them
to swim through the sound and bore deep into the ground. This singing in Casaderea gives name to the singing
deathsands.
Wyrms are equipped with six to twelve fins. Three at the chest on either side, and three to both sides of the tail.
Some may have moveable sails, typically 3-6 along the back. They look as if odd fins were fixed to the back. The
webbing along these sails is typically red or green to allow for photosynthesizing. These sails are typically only
present in the Thrallbreaker/Deaths Bringer subgroups. As they house the larger and largest wyrms.
The most common of the Wyrms. Smaller and more versatile they will make it work both in Casaderea and outside of it. Typically living in wetter or sandy environments than temperate ones. They typically lack sails and own only 6 fins and are among the smallest subgroup when it comes to length, size, and weight.
Thrallbreaker are larger wyrms typically found beneath in the snow in the Conferous, or in the sand of Casadera. There are a few odd species who live in other spaces, like around the Ruins of Porel, in the Heat Casket of Lidereia, eastern Malia, and supposedly somewhere within Kajir. Larger and mean they tend to stick low in the substrate of what they swim through. Tending to break the surface to ambush prey above the substrate. Thrallbreaker are exceptionally loud in Casaderea and incredibly thick skinned in Conferous.
