Overview

Étallbesch, a regal animal. Their head entirely encased by chitin. The material reinforced by metal the animal consumes over time. It is a tough and incredibly shiny material. Étallbesch will butt heads with one another, often producing a sound much like clanging two pans together. A thick mane protects its neck from attack. The furred cape around it doing the same and protecting from downpour. They walk upon the very tip of their blunt claws and are extremely agile and capable of climbing rockfaces. Their tails are not feathered but instead slick with oils secreted from the base of the tailhair. They part and clump the tail fur to appear feathered. The bigger and longer the tail, the more attractive and healthy a étallbesch appears.

Temperment

Calm for the most part, yet then its anger and short temper strike. The second line of its stanza marks ill its temper. Étallbesch will tolerate company for a while before becoming overwhelmed and will ram into the offender. Their entire head will hit hard and they will dig their claws into the offender. Causing surprisingly grievous injuries. This quick rise to anger, quick rise to violence leaves them as poor candidates for companions with anything other than their own kind.

Life Cycle

Moving in pairs of two, Étallbesch mate for life and raise one singular youth together. These parents will become fiercely protective. And become even more volatile and less tolerant of other animals. Given their cscarthine nature, they cannot spare the few extra seconds to make sure a predator is a predator, like the Longnecked Hound. They attack regardless. Perhaps being cscarthine in Arkhan, in some of the most humid parts sets their electrosenses aflame and thats the reason for their ill temper.
