Krislargen Armored Fish

Overview

Fast and agile, Krislargen Armored Fish roam Gelgaten’s waters. Rocketing quickly through the waters they ambush prey in a blitzing attack. Grabbing large insects that rest on top of the red water. Dragging them down the bed below to drown. Their armored hides covered in this chitinous segments protect against probing stingers of retaliating prey. Sometimes, two of these fish will group up and tear apart any unlucky insects, One holding the prey in its jaws while the other goes to town. It is these periods of dual work that exposes the Krislargen to danger. Absorbed in its task it may fail to notice an approaching Verlam Walkerwyrm, and so may the armored fish fall to predation if the Verlam gets a good angle on the fish.

Temperment

Curious yet cautious, Krislargen use their armor to their advantage. Letting themselves be as open to attack for they can shrug it off. To do this in order to inspect and explore their surroundings and other animals and or fish. They are mainly solitary.

Life Cycle

Mating dances are long and elegant things. Each will dance around a partner to test compatibility. They rely on The Sound to dance in tune. Once mated, they will go their seperate ways and lay their eggs in secretive clutches. This is how far as they will go for their young, nothing more matters. The young when hatched must fend for themselves and survive to adulthood on their own instincts.
