Rhettic Roctha

Overview

Rhettic numbers range on average from 400,000 to 100,000. Fluctuating wildly as they breed all year round, and are aggressively hunted all year round. They may sometimes feast on Aurgezwen. But the seeds are hard to strip of their peel for the Rhettic. So instead the animal may harass Bloodbelly Ghornn while they feed. Long armored jaws snatching peeled/frayed seeds right out of the Ghornn’s mouth. But other times the Rhettic will go after seeds more befitting of them. Swarvgen bushes raise tall stalks of which Rhettic will strip with their jaws. Feeding messily they knock half the seeds they try to eat into the water and mud below. They can easily be stopped while feeding as they are massive cowards. Fleeing from most anything should they even think something is amiss.

Temperment

Both carefree and careful, Rhettic are quick to flee but quick to be bold. To snatch food from Bloodbelly. To be so absorbed in their day to day life they forget themselves and fall to the Gelgaten Gorgon. All over the place is something you could call the Rhettics temperament.

Life Cycle

Rhettic are polyamorus by nature. They will gather in groups to mate and rear young. They will have multiple young at once and these young will be preyed upon. Gelgeyr will make short work of them, Gelgaten Gorgon shorter. Even the Bloodbelly Ghorn may take advantage of the extra calories and munch on a few younglings. Due to the high rates of youngling deaths, despite the clutches being 20-30. The parents will often mate immediately after a clutch is born to ensure some do survive. This leads to overpopulation of young that encurs more death in a strange spiral. And spiral they will until things have had their fill and cease their overhunting of the young. Only then will Rhettic rear their young.
